La fusée jaune

Synopsis Since 2009, artist Bogomir Ecker's “Longitudi 1” has graced a corner of Place Flagey in Ixelles. 13m high and made of yellow aluminium sheeting, its meaning and symbolism, its usefulness and function, its aesthetics and artistic value are all being questioned by local residents and passers-by alike. What is their relationship to this and other monuments around the square? What determines this relationship, and what does it tell us about ourselves and our relationship to public space?
