Next track

For the first time, the Brussels Short Film Festival, in collaboration with IMEP (Institut Royal Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie) and Sabam For Culture, is organizing Next track, an event aimed at fostering connections between the future composers of IMEP and the national director of the Next Generation competition with a short film project.

Next Track will be back in 2026.

This activity is organized in French.

A selection of five new projects from among the Belgian directors of the Next Generation Competition and the emerging directors of the National Competition is made on the basis of a synopsis, a note of intent and a note of musical intent.

After discovering each other's work, five directors and five composers meet for a ten-minute ‘speed dating’ session.
