BENJAMIN RAMON

Benjamin began his film career in 2001 with the short films D.U.R by Frédéric Guillaume and Les enfants de coeur by Alexis Van Stratum, while he was still a student at INSAS. After graduating in June 2003, he joined the cast of La femme de Gilles by Frédéric Fonteyne in October. In 2006, he played Yvon, a young autistic man, in Call Me Elisabeth by Jean-Pierre Améris. This role earned him a prenomination for the César Awards. Since then, he has appeared, among others, in The Outsider by Christophe Barratier, Megalomaniac by Karim Ouelhaj, and more recently in Sans Pitié, the debut feature film by Julien Hosmalin.

VALÉRY CARNOY

Valéry Carnoy is a young Belgian filmmaker trained at INSAS in Brussels. In 2019, he completed his graduation film Ma planète, which was selected at more than 80 international festivals (Regard, Brest, Camerimage, Flickerfest, Leeds, Leuven, Tokyo…).    In 2021, he directed Titan, which earned him the National Grand Prize at BSFF along with around thirty other awards. The film was also selected for the César Awards and at several prestigious international festivals (Clermont-Ferrand, Molodist, Interfilm Berlin, Message to Man, Regard, Odense, Palm Springs, São Paulo…). In 2024, he directed his first feature film, La danse des renards. The film was selected for the Quinzaine des cinéastes at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, where it received the Europa Cinemas Award for Best European Film as well as the SACD Award for Best French Film. The film has been sold in around twenty countries and selected at numerous prestigious international festivals (Busan, Hamburg, Valladolid, Warsaw, São Paulo, Tallinn, Cinémania, Golden Horse, Angoulême, Göteborg…).

CAMILLE RUTHERFORD

Camille Rutherford was born in 1990 and graduated from the CNSAD. In theatre, she has performed in L’origine du monde by Sébastien Thiéry, Youth Without God by Ödön von Horváth, Trois hommes verts, a production for young audiences, and Villa Dolorosa by Rebekka Kricheldorf. In cinema, she has appeared, among others, in Felicita by Bruno Merle, for which she was nominated for the César Award for
Most Promising Actress in 2021.

She also appeared in the series 9 meufs by Emma de Caunes, as well as in La nuit du 12, Le livre des solutions, Anatomie d’une chute and Nino. She has been nominated again for Most Promising Actress at the 2026 César Awards for Jane Austen wrecked my life. She has directed two short films: Good Thing There’s Grandma’s Apartment (2015) and Not Good Enough (2017). Both films received several festival selections, including at the Côté Court Festival. She can currently be seen in the series Extra-lucide on OCS and will soon appear in Let Love In by Félix Van Groeningen, Authentiks by Marie Rosselet Ruiz, as well as in upcoming films by Valérie Massadian and Anaïs Volpé.

TIJMEN GOVAERTS

Tijmen Govaerts (1994) graduated as a storyteller from the “Word Art” department of the Antwerp Conservatory. After his studies, he pursued a career as an actor and notably appeared in Girl (Lukas Dhont), Muidhond (Patrice Toye), Tori and Lokita (Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne), and 1985 (Wouter Bouvijn). In theatre, he has performed in classics such as Angels in America and Long Day’s Journey Into Night. He co-wrote Charlotte Lybaert’s short films and directed his first short film. Together with Jaan Stevens, he is currently working on his first feature film, produced by Menuetto.

VÉRONIQUE JADIN

From 2001 onwards, she worked as an assistant director and went on to direct several short films, including En fanfare (2006), which won the Grand Prize and the Best Actress Award for Tsilla Chelton at the BSFF. She later directed Comme des héros (2011) and Ingrid fait son cinéma (2013). In 2021, she made her first feature film, L’Employée du mois, co-written with Nina Vanspranghe. The film was selected for numerous international festivals, including Tribeca, Fantasia, and the BIFFF, and received several awards, including Best Actress for Jasmina Douieb, as well as multiple Magritte Award nominations. Alongside her work as a filmmaker, she created and hosts the podcast Arrête ton cinéma, which focuses on the realities of the audiovisual industry.

YORGOS ANGELOPOULOS

Yorgos Angelopoulos is the artistic director of the Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF).

A director and screenwriter, he holds a degree in film studies from the School of Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as a Master’s degree in screenwriting from the University of the Arts London (LCC). He worked for many years at the Greek Film Centre (now EKKOMED), where he served as head of development and production. The short films he has written or directed have been screened at major international festivals, including Venice, Clermont-Ferrand, Thessaloniki, and BFI Flare. Alongside his work as a filmmaker, he is also active as a script consultant and film educator.

FILIPA GUIMARÃES

Filipa Guimarães is a Portuguese production coordinator at the Curtas Vila do Conde International Film Festival. She contributes to the programming of the Student Short Film Competition and, more recently, to the selection of films for the Industry Screenings as well as projects in development for Curtas Pro. Since 2022, she has represented the festival at several European film events, including Clermont-Ferrand, Interfilm, Tampere, BSFF, Porto/Post/Doc, and Nordisk Panorama. She holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Porto and later pursued studies in Communication of Armed Conflicts at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has a strong interest in international relations, migration issues, and social matters. Committed to her community, she has been a member of the local NGO Verdim since 2018, which promotes more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

GREGORY COUTAUT

Gregory Coutaut founded LePolyester.com in 2018, an online magazine dedicated to international arthouse cinema news. In this capacity, he covers dozens of festivals each year, both in France and abroad, where LePolyester is sometimes the only French media outlet present. Until 2021, he was president of Aloha Distribution, a company that releases foreign documentary feature films in French cinemas. In 2022, he served as an artistic advisor to the selection team of the Quinzaine des cinéastes, and since 2025, he has been a member of the short film selection committee of the Semaine de la critique.

MARINA FESTRÉ

After a background as an art historian in the heritage field, Marina Festré joined a now-defunct distribution company specialized in world cinema before turning to production. She initially participated in the project Anyway the Wind Blows, the iconic film by Tom Barman, singer of dEUS, and then supported the production of films by Abel & Gordon. She later led the Belgian branch of The Iris Group. Today, she is an associate producer with Michael Goldberg and Boris Van Gils at Boucan (formerly Daylight). She develops short films by young directors, several of which premiered at BSFF, and supports them in moving toward their first feature film.

SEBASTIÁN MORADIELLOS

Sebastián Moradiellos is a producer and casting director based in Brussels. Trained at the Brussels Conservatory and with a background in theatre, he has developed for over fifteen years a professional practice at the intersection of acting, artistic coaching, and cinema. After an initial career in the performing arts, he turned to film and became a casting director, collaborating with numerous directors and producers in Belgium and internationally. This experience has given him an in-depth understanding of working with actors, project development, and the practical realities of filmmaking. He has also been a member of the César Revelations Committee twice, in 2024 and 2025.

DAVID BORGEAUD

After studying Literature, David Borgeaud trained in filmmaking at IAD before founding Roue Libre Production in 2014. He began by producing short films, including Kapitalistis by Pablo Muñoz Gomez, awarded at the Locarno Film Festival and nominated at the Magritte, César, and European Film Awards, as well as the first season of the queer web series La Théorie du Y for RTBF. In 2021, he produced his first feature film, Fils de plouc by Lenny and Harpo Guit, selected at Sundance and numerous other festivals, where it won several awards. He reunited with the Guit brothers in 2025 for their second feature, Aimer Perdre. He has produced around fifteen short films and six feature films, mainly working with Belgian filmmakers. He also worked for the FIFF (industry event and selection committee) and has been a script reader for the Centre du Cinéma et de l’Audiovisuel since 2020.

ELLA VAN DEN HOVE

Ella van den Hove was born in Brussels in 1961.She graduated from the Image Department of the Institut National Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle (INSAS) in Brussels in 1984 and is a member of the SBC (Belgian Society of Cinematographers). She began her career working as a camera assistant on around twenty feature films, television films, and documentaries, as well as on a similar number of short films. She then went on to work as both a camera operator and director of photography, in both fiction and documentary. She is currently a professor at INSAS.

YANNICK LEROY

Yannick Leroy is a Belgian film editor. Trained in journalism and theatre, his passion for storytelling led him to study film editing at INSAS, where he has been teaching since 2015. As an editor, he alternates between editing live-action feature films and documentaries. Nominated at the Magritte Awards in 2016 for I’m Dead But I Have Friends, he won the Best Editing Award at BRIFF 2022 for Austral. Recently, he edited the documentaries Black Garden (CPH:DOX Award Selection 2024, Étoile de la Scam 2025), Blueberry Dreams (CPH:DOX Next Wave 2024), Fracture (Visions du Réel 2026), and the Spanish film Ivan & Hadoum (Berlinale Panorama 2026 – Teddy Award for Best Feature Film).

LUIS TRINQUES

Luis Trinques is a sound engineer. He graduated from IAD in 2014 and works in both fiction and documentary. He has worked on various projects such as Merckx, Se Crasher Pour Exister, Krump, Les Enfants Perdus, Quiproquo, and Haemers. He enjoys working in a team and in a positive atmosphere, and approaches each project with a focus on preserving the film’s performance and sonic sensitivity.
