International Competition

The International Competition selection has been shaped with both rigor and passion. Out of more than 4,000 films submitted this year, 51 works from 28 different countries were selected after months of viewing and discussion. They now form the lineup of this prestigious competition, officially recognized as an Oscar-qualifying event.

While each film stands on its own, they all share a common ambition: to offer a distinctive perspective and a fully realized artistic vision. Whether exploring intimate stories or engaging with broader political themes, the filmmakers once again showcase the richness of global cinema and the immense creative potential of the short film format. Presented across 10 programs, the selection features fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental films, exploring a wide  range of themes and perspectives from all corners of the world.
