Co-Production Forum

The Brussels Short film festival is launching a call for projects for its co-production forum. The forum will take place on the 4th and 5th of May 2017 during the festival.

The Brussels short film festival is a major European short film festival. Since 20 years, the festival promotes short film to the public and became a meeting place for a lot of professionals.



The Brussels Short film festival co-production forum is an initiative aimed at promoting partnerships between European producers and Belgian producers. European producers looking for a Belgian co-production, and Belgian producers looking for a European co-production are invited to submit their projects. In each category, five projects will be selected to take part in the forum.

The Forum will take place in Flagey, Brussels.


The Co-Production forum will be composed of three parts:

  • 4th of May: The Pitching of projects in front of Producers, Funding Partners, Distributors…
  • 4th and 5th of May: Individual Meetings.
  • Friendly Meetings between participants and producers around Short-Film screenings in the gathering places of the festival


If selected, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Pitch your project in front of influent Belgian and European producers.
  • Meet face-to-face with a great number of professionals; producers, funding partners …
  • Build contacts to find public and private funding for your projects in case you find an agreement.
  • Discover Brussels and the Brussels Short Film Festival.


The Brussels Short Film festival Co-Production forum is open to:

  • Belgian producers developing a short film and looking for a European co-production.
  • European producers developing a short film and looking for a belgian co-production.

Producers should be from one of the member countries of the Creative Europe Programme (European Union + Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Iceland, Georgia, Moldova, Norway and Turkey) and Switzerland. Co-productions wanted by Belgians producers must belong to these same countries.


English will be the working language during the co-production forum. Therefore, a professional level of English is advised for anyone willing to participate in the forum.
