High tension closing ceremony… The verdict will fall on May 3rd, direct from the Studio 4 (Flagey)

The proclamation of the winners will be followed by the screening of some award-winning films.

The films in the International Competition will compete for the following awards:

The acquisition of broadcasting rights by Arte, in the programme Court Circuit (awarded by an Arte representative)

 


Films in the Next Generation Competition will compete for the following prizes:
• Next Generation Grand Prix
€1500 offered by the Brussels Short Film Festival to a director of a Belgian or foreign film
• Wallonia-Brussels Federation Award
€1250 offered by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation to the director of a French-speaking Belgian film
• National Audience Award
€1000 offered by SABAM
• International Audience Award
€500 offered by the Brussels Short Film Festival
• Youth Jury Award
€500 offered by the Youth Council of the municipality of Ixelles
• The Belgian Short Film Agency Award
Distribution of the winning film in festivals, international sales and theatrical release
• RTBF – La Trois Award
The acquisition of the broadcasting rights on La Trois (awarded by a representative of La Trois)
Films in the National Competition are also eligible for the La Trois Prize
• Kortfilm.be Prize
The acquisition of the broadcasting rights globally, non exclusif diffusion for Kortfilm.be
Films in the National Competition are also eligible for the Kortfilm.be Prize

€1000 offered by La Loterie Nationale to the director
• The Best Actress Award
€1000 offered by Playright
• The Best Actor Award
€1000 offered by Playright
• The Best editing Award (In collaboration with the association of editors BEmontage) 
One-year license for Media Composer (Avid) & one audio interface MBOX Studio offered by Diginet+ €500 offered by Boxon
• The Best Photography Award (in collaboration with the Belgian Society of Cinematographers)
€500 offered by La Loterie Nationale to the DOP
• The Best Sound Award
€500 offered by La Loterie Nationale to the sound departement
•  The Press Award
• The “Regard Citoyen” Award
€2,500 in services offered by the GSARA
• The Audience Award
1000€ offered by SABAM and also  €1000 of offered services by the Agence belge du court métrage for the distribution of the next film from the director (with a guaranteed minimum of international selles of the film)
The winner of the Audience Award will go on to conquer Europe as part of the European Short Film Audience Award.
