Along with nine other emblematic European festivals, (Festival International du Court Métrage de Clermont-Ferrand (France), Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival Bristol (United Kingdom), Go Short International Short Film Festival Nijmegen (the Netherlands), Curtas Vila do Conde International Film Festival (Portugal), Interfilm International Film Festival Berlin (Germany), ALCINE - Festival de Cine de Alcalá de Henares (Spain), Short Waves Festival (Poland), Tampere Film Festival (Finland), Lviv International Short Film Festival Wiz Art (Ukraine)), the Brussels Short Film Festival is launching the European Short Film Audience Award (ESFAA), the contenders being the ten films that each won the audience award in their respective countries.
The winner of the European Short Film Award will receive € 3500 offered by the Representation of the European Commission in Belgium.
Answer the question below and win two spots for the European Short Film Audience Award. On April 15 at 12pm 5 entrants will be picked from the submissions and each winner receives two free tickets (one entry per person).
Meet Jaco Van Dormael accompanied by Hugues Dayez (RTBF) to discuss the freedom of speech and creation, two subjects that are important to him and that he interprets in his recent short “The Shape”. The film is part of the campaign #EUandME, a project that aims to discuss Europe with youngsters.
