Focus Sweden

In 2023 the BSFF Travelling screenings focus on a retrospective of Swedish short films. On the occasion of the Swedish presidency of the European Union Council, the festival has dedicated three programs to the rich cinematic creation of the country through three themed programs for an overview of Swedish society and culture.

Focus Sweden 1: Comedies

The unique quality of Nordic humor is a well established fact. As absurd as it is grating, this program is entirely dedicated to the inimitable Swedish humor and offers a joyful selection of films that uses with panache, such subjects as death, sexism, compromise and fetal alcohol syndrome.
